Ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom Style Imitation Alabaster (Codestone?) Vase.
Imitating a style typical of the Pyramid Age, c. 2686 - 2181 B.C. This vase was made between 1950 - 1999 using a cast false stone to imitate the natural veining of alabaster and even giving the impression of ancient surface cracks. The vase is in fact in almost perfect condition with one insignificant chip under the rim.
