Bernard Agnan (Aignan) Callier was born 20 January 1821 in Aubigny, Cher, (today Aubigny-sur-Nère) in France. Callier was a watch and chronometre maker, initially in Gien, later at Quai St. Michel in Paris. In 1867, he won a gold medallion at the Paris exhibition. In 1870, he bought the workshop of Joseph Thaddäus Winnerl.

White enamel dial in very beautiful condition. Fine Roman indices with minute-scale running around the outside - Arabic sums of ten (10, 20, 30...).
Gold hands. Power reserve display under 12 o'clock. Small recessed second at the six.
