Raymond Moretti is probably one of the most gifted and greatest French painters and sculptors of the 20th century. An instinctive portraitist, he illustrated many books, posters and magazine covers (La revue littéraire, Pilote, etc.). He also left monumental paintings everywhere in France, including his renowned mural (200sqm) in the Forum des Halles of Paris and in his hometown, Nice. He has illustrated over 30 French postal stamps.
Moretti was friends with Picasso and Cocteau and collaborated with both.
