Beautiful men's bicycle, manufactured by Umberto Dei, Imperial model, from the 1950s. With integral brake system. Completely restored with Brooks leather seat and bag.
Umberto Dei is trademark owned by the historical Italian company Atala S.p.A.
In the year in which the Lumière brothers invented cinematography a small craftsman with a passion for cycling, coined his first series of bicycles: it was the year 1896, his name was Umberto Dei.
This is how an extraordinary collection of bicycles was born, unanimously considered a marvel of the nascent world cycling industry. The top quality and perfection gave the brand a reputation among cyclists and runners all over the world.
Umberto himself participated as a protagonist in the world championships on track of 1901 (Berlin). Dei racing bicycles won everywhere and dominated the scene for almost half a century, gathering laurels and records in the most important velodromes. Nowadays the Dei cycles retrace their history between myth and legend, in a refined balance of modern elements, particular chiselled and natural materials. They pass through the time rediscovering themselves in memory.
