Antonio Mussari - Rflessi blu del Mediterraneo
Digitale afdruk, digitaal printen op forex - Galerie postzegel - 1974 - 2014

The photograph in the lot is a slide from 1974 - digital print on Forex.
It shows no damage to the corners, and is complete witha black frame and hanging hook. The work bears the stamp of the gallery and is part of the artist’s solo exhibition (Fermo Immagine) at FrameArsArtes contemporary art gallery in Naples. Antonio Mussari is a talented photographer who established himself in the 1970s, as a collaborator of Vogue in the 1980s and a protagonist of many exhibitions in Rome, Florence and Naples. An enchanted contemplation of nature. His landscapes, filtered by a calm and solitary vision of the world, become pictorial images enhanced by photographic chromatism, where the rigorous composition finds a perfect balance between reality and poetry. Mussari’s photos are a creative and communicative exercise of himself. His adventure began with a simple Silette Agfa and continued with the legendary Nikon F, interrupted by the introduction of digital, perceived as a trivialising tool, not suitable to express the images of the soul.
The landscapes marked by colour, the sharp marinas with light, the horses standing still in the hay, the night visions of a thousand sparks of the moon in the sea foam, these are all images that concern the spirit and tell the story of this taciturn and very strong man who, unable to carry out his activities because of a health problem, was able to reinvent himself by founding, creating and managing the Museo del Mare in Naples with international success.
