Nero. (54-68 AD). AR denarius Rome, 64-66 AD.

Obv: NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS - head laureate right
Rev: AVGVSTVS AVGVSTA - Nero and Poppaea standing left beside each other; Nero is togate and radiate and holds patera and scepter; Poppaea is draped and veiled and holds patera and cornucopia.

Rare: only three such coins among the 102 denarii of Nero in the Reka Devnia hoard.

Very interesting reverse showing the loving young imperial couple shortly before Nero kicked his pregnant empress in the stomach, which resulted in her death.
