After studying at the Academies of Brera and Venice, Giuseppe Rigon was part of the regular group of set designers of La Scala in Milan from 1956 to 1989, with some collaborations also in the 2000s. He exhibited both in Italy and abroad. The 1964 solo exhibition in Milan, opened by Carlo Carra, deserves to be mentioned. In addition to painting pictures and sets both for La Scala and for theatres in Florence and Verona, he designed posters for shows and plays.
He can be appreciated both by collectors of pictures and by collectors interested in the La Scala theatre of Milan.
I don’t know in which year it was painted.
