Provenance: From an old private collection of Chinese swords. Ex European Museum Exhibition.
This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this sword.
A fine steel sword with silver inlay decoration representing the Seven Stars relating to the celestial gods; the handle is made of polished ox horn, the sheath and grip embellished with ray skin sheath and brass fitting attributes. Exhibited in one of the top European Museums. See last photo.

Total length: 66 cm.
Condition: Very good overall with some age and use related wear.
