Gabriel Dauchot was a French painter and lithographer born in Livry-Gargan on 10th May 1927, and died in Paris on 7th November 2005. Nicknamed ‘the painter of the human comedy’, he is associated with the ‘Jeune Peinture’ figurative movement of the Paris School.
