CARLO MANCINI ( Milan 1829 - 1910 ).
Coming from an ancient Milanese family, he befriended various members of the Milanese music in his villa in Merate such as Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi and Boito.
He studied under the guidance of Giuseppe Bisi.
He travelled to France and painted landscapes in Normandy etc.
Many of his paintings can be found in museums, especially in the Pinacoteca dell'Accademia
Carrara in Bergamo.
Insignificant signs of wear on the frame.
