Attributed to Henry Gris:
Henry Gris graduated from Columbia Uni and joined United Press Intl. in London at the outbreak of World War II.
Following the war, he covered the opening of the United Nations in San Francisco and then settled permanently in Los Angeles, where he created UPI’s Hollywood Foreign Dept., which covered Hollywood for foreign magazines and newspapers globally. Gris interviewed practically every Hollywood star during the late 1940s, ’50s and ’60s, and even appeared with other foreign journalists in the Clark Gable-Doris Day starrer “Teacher’s Pet.”
Following his retirement from UPI in 1969, he worked for Transworld Feature Syndicate and the National Enquirer.
