CAMILLO INNOCENTI (1871 - 1961 )

A beautiful signed oil on panel by Camillo Innocenti. The work is signed lower right and depicts a couple in taverne with a specific body language. The work is beautifully painted, fully signed and in original unrestored condition.

Camillo Innocenti was a self-taught painter. He regularly spent periods in Paris. He became the director of the École des Beaux-Arts, Cairo, where he lived for 20 years. He exhibited frequently at the Paris Salon des Artistes Français. He obtained a reputation for his choice of subjects, which often contained a humorous element.
