Ancient Roman Bronze Brooch Fibula shaped as a Pelte (Ancient Greek Shield) with Circle decoration resembling an Apotropaic Eye.
This very rere type and Inspired probably from a vessel or some ancient Greek battle relief has a shape of a famous type of a military shield used from the infantry so called Peltast.
The romans admired were very keen on the greek culture which gave a huge impulse and influence also in their art!
The pin is missing and only a void residues of enamel, otherwise very well preserved with a nice green natural patina.
