This is a fine example of Art Deco, from the Ditmar Urbach porcelain factory.
It depicts a polar bear on an iceberg or an ice floe with a hole in the middle. Originally designed as a cigar ashtray, it can be used for keys or valuable objects such as necklaces or rings; it was made in the city of Teplitz, in Bohemia. Marked on bottom with trademark.
The object is in perfect condition, only with some signs of age. The piece dates back to the 1930s.
