Cognac - 40%

Right after the French Revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte, took over the imperial throne. Emmanuel Courvoisier, the founder, and Louis Gallois, the mayor of Bercy, decided to open a wine and spirits company on the outskirts of Paris. The reputation of Louis Gallois and Emmanuel Courvoisier grew rapidly among connoisseurs of this drink, so much so that their warehouses in Bercy were once honored with a visit from the emperor himself. Perhaps inspired by what he proved, Napoleon began to give a dose of cognac to his troops to stimulate them during the continuous Napoleonic wars.
