Two lovely bottles of 1989 Cuvee Constance from Domaine Huet. Bought in auction from stock direct from the producer. Stored in EuroCave since. Tried a few from the same OWC and tasting superb. Rated by Parker at 98 Pts.
Tobias Herrmann's Selection:
Huët is considered the best producer of Vouvray (bone-dry as well as sweet) on the Loire. 35 hectares of Chenin Blanc are cultivated and their "Cuvée Constance" is the most expensive and most probably best wine. The wine was named after the mother of Gaston Huët and hasn't a single vineyard stated on the label as the other wines at Huët (Le Haut-Lieu, Clos du Bourg, or Le Mont) and is most often a blend of all three. 1989 was the first vintage of the "Constance" ever produced. A must-have wine for the dessert wine lover.
