Here we have an interesting pair, the acetabulum of the pelvis and the corresponding femoral head, found together still in place.
The Mammuthus Primigenius, also known as the woolly mammoth, was one of the last mammoths that populated the earth. Lived between 5,000 and 200,000 years ago, different from other mammoths for adapting to cold northern climates: they were smaller, had a very dense fleece and often had hairs that would get one metre long, had smaller ears but larger tusks, and developed a sort of hump that acted as adipose storage for times of famine.
