Rare plate commemorating the Franco-Russian Alliance, concluded during the reign of Czar Alexander III of Russia, and the Russian fleet’s visit to Toulon in 1893.
It was manufactured in 1893 in France by the Keller-Guérin earthenware factory in Lunéville( France),
They are decorated with the flags of the Imperial Russian Navy and the French Navy, topped with the two-headed eagle of the Romanov dynasty.
It is in good condition, as shown in the photos, and it has kept its original gilding.
It measures 22.4 cm in diameter.
Please note, however, there is a hairline crack at 12 o’clock.
