Geschiedenis, Incunabelen en vroege drukken, Literatuur - Aantal: 1 - Boek

Eighteenth-century full parchment binding; smooth spine with tag with author and title in gold; red sprayed edges. 180 unnumbered sheets. Latin text, paginated on one and two columns, round and Gothic letters imprinted in red and black; in the text, numerous plates of synchronisms laid out on two, three, four and five columns. Beautiful woodcut decorated drop caps with elegant white racemes on a black background, coloured with a brush and red and green watercolour in old times. On the sheets 1 recto - 11 recto, "Tabula" i.e. index of noteworthy words, introduced by a large capital “T” watercoloured in red and green; sheets 11 verso and 12 are blank; incipit indexed with capital letters and round lowercase on sheet 13 recto; explicit with typographic information, printed in red with Gothic letters, on the back of the last sheet. Later numbering handwritten in pen on the front of many sheets, on the top right margin. This valuable incunabulum, of notable interest in the history of printing, is the second edition of the Chronicon, after that of Milan in 1475 ca. Copy in good condition; slight wear to the tag on the spine; inside slightly trimmed around the margins, after the addition of the handwritten numbers on the sheets; woodworm holes to the first sheets, without loss of text.
