Ancient trade tool made of carved natural wood with polychrome painted floral decoration.
Did you know?
Tobacco trading was a privilege of the Compagnie des Indes in 18th century in France. In 1719, the cultivation of tobacco was banned throughout the country with three exceptions: Franche-Comté, Flanders and Alsace. That's why there is a lot of tobacco-related folk art found there.
