A high-quality Chinese patinated bronze sculpture of Guanyin, 2nd half 20th century, ca 27.5 cm. high, 20 cm. wide and 14 cm. deep.
The Chinese bodhisattva seated in 'maharadja-lilasana' on a whimsically formed rock, her face with smiling expression, the forehead with 'urna', the hair partly pinned up, wearing 'dhoti', a long scarf, bracelets and elaborate chest jewellery with tassels, leaning on the rock with her left hand, the right resting on her knee, in excellent condition.
