A pair of wooden sphinxes
Estimated dating: 19th century
Both were originally part of a table. In good overall condition with some glued parts. One sphinx’s foot is slightly scratched (see photos). The pedestal is veneered.
Dimensions (each): height 64 cm, length 17 cm, depth 42 cm
Perfect as decorative items or as a support for a coffee table
The rear wooden support was added recently for a better usage of the pieces. As you can see in the last photo, it has been fixed to the base with two screws. No glue has been used to make a possible restoration to the previous condition easy and straightforward.
