Up for auction is a the rarest of the Italian WW2 US language guides: a 1943 copy of the United States Army Technical Manual TM 30-249 entitled "Italian Phrase book". It covers many useful Italian words and phrases as required for the Europe Invasion (Sicily). This booklet was printed in january 1943, just prior to the invasion of Italy/Europe during D-Day, to facilitate interrogation and communication of/between Italian resistance, Italian nationals, etc. This version with leather-like cover is very difficult to find, the most desirable version!
