‘An der Westfront’ is a Wehrmacht set of postcards with pictures of the French campaign.
The artist postcards were created by the war artist Albert Reich.

In 1940, the 6th Army was involved in the conquest of France.
During this time, the propaganda company of the 6th Army published the military magazine ‘Westfront-Illustrierte’ as well as 2 small books (sketches and photo book) and this postcard series.
In 1941, the army was deployed to the Eastern Front. The ‘Westfront-Illustrierte’ was renamed ‘Ostfront-Illustrierte’ and was discontinued a short time later. Another two books from the Eastern Front were published.
The 6th Army was surrounded in Stalingrad and later capitulated.
