After the 6th Army was deployed to the Western Front in the war against France in 1940, it was transferred to the Eastern Front in 1941.
In January 1943, what remained of the 6th Army, led by Field Marshal Paul, surrendered to the Red Army in Stalingrad.
In 1940/41, the propaganda company of the 6th Army published a magazine as well as a set of postcards ‘An der Westfront’, and 4 books.
This very rare book was written in 1941/42 for the soldiers deployed on the Eastern Front.
