A finely cast sculpture of Cupid, standing by a fountain with ivy growing over it, two birds to the left, his bow at his side, angel wings extended, bearing a plaque describing the scene as the " Fountain of Youth, by Bruchon". Emile Bruchon was a pupil of Mathurin Moreau.
This foundry mark "Fabrication Francaise, Paris" with crucible logo is documented between 1892-1915 and appears on high quality spelter copies of bronzes of the era.
Condition: very good, no damages or repairs to the statue. Wooden base with age crack. Minor wear commensurate with age.
